Product Wise Warranty Terms and Conditions

  • Warranty Policy for Renutron ON Line UPS / Lift UPS

    Renutron warrants the first purchaser of the products, that it is free from defects in material and components, which if suffering from manufacturing defects or defective material during the warranty period, will be provided free services, repairs or replacements, as the case may be.

    Procedure to log a service call

    User must contact Renutron via e-mail service@renutron.com or phone 93 71 77 69 79, no later than 30 days after discovery of occurrence or defect/s in UPS, UPS part and/or BATTERY/s but in no event after the expiration of the respective warranty period.

    Warranty period of UPS

    Unless otherwise provided in a warranty for the specific product purchased, Renutron warrants that the Renutron product is and will be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of purchase or 13 months from the date of delivery whichever is earlier. The purchaser shall not be entitled to enforce the warranty unless it shall have fully paid as per the terms of payment in purchase order for the respective product.

    Any terms and conditions as mentioned on the purchaser’s purchase order, Renutron’s order acknowledgement, original invoice copy or on any other form or communication that are inconsistent with or additional to the terms and conditions of this warranty shall be applicable only if it has been specifically agreed by Renutron.

    Rules for defective parts repair or replacement:

    Repair of a defective UPS part and/or BATTERY does not extend the respective original warranty period.

    All defective UPS parts shall become the property of Renutron upon replacement.

    Any parts that are replaced may be new or reconditioned.

    Service under warranty shall be available during Renutron’s Business Hours unless accepted in Purchase order. In case if required the purchaser shall arrange for the access of breakdown unit / batteries, power supply, load etc. to the Renutron authorized service person, even after or before office hours or on holidays. Also, shall provide security for the tools and spares being used to repairs and maintenance.

    Renutron’s entire liability and the exclusive remedy for a product defect that is covered under this warranty shall be at Renutron’s sole option either (a) repair of the Product or (b) replacement of the Product with the same or a functionally equivalent product. There is no express or implied right of return or right of refund under the terms of this limited warranty.

    This warranty does not cover damages or defects caused by reasons such as but not limited to:

    Misuse, Improper application, Wrong or inadequate electrical Current/Voltage/Frequency, Repair by non-Renutron designated personnel, Accident during shipment, Tampering, Alteration, Change in UPS and /or battery location or application, Exposure to the elements such as conductive dust, moisture etc., Acts of god, Force majeure, Theft, Sabotage, Lightening, Wrong cabling of load, Removal or connecting batteries in wrong way, Site conditions not suitable for installing electronic equipment, Installation contrary to Renutron recommendations or if serial numbers have been altered, defaced, or removed.

    Other expenses while repair:

    This warranty does not cover reimbursement for labor, gaining access, removal, installation, temporary power or equipment or any other expenses which may be incurred in connection with repair or replacement.

    Liability Limitation

    In no event shall Renutron’s assume any liability for indirect, special, incidental, exemplary or consequential damages of any kind whatsoever, including without limitation, lost profits, business interruption or loss of data, whether any claim is based upon theories of contract, negligence, strict liability, tort, or otherwise.

    In any event, Renutron’s responsibility for the property loss or damage shall not exceed the written down value of the product. Renutron is not responsible for incidental expenses such as removal / installation services, down time etc. The warranty of Renutron shall be strictly limited to its products and does not extend to the equipment/s with which the product is integrated or being used for.

    Carry in Warranty:

    In case of any breakdown, buyer shall bring the UPS to Renutron authorized service center or works as suggested by Renutron and shall collect the same after due repairs in time.

    Technical assistance:

    Any technical assistance provided by Renutron personnel or representatives in system design is constructed to be a proposal and not recommendation, the responsibility for determining the feasibility of the same, rests with the user and should be subject to test. Renutron shall not be held responsible for any failures during integrations and execution or operations.

    Right to Modify:

    Renutron reserves the right to vary, modify or change the terms and conditions herein due to change(s) in availability of services, products and/or spare parts or for the purposes of complying with applicable policies, rules, regulations and law, with or without notice.

    None of Renutron’s employees, distributors, dealers, retailers, contractors, agents have the authority to vary, modify or amend any of the terms and conditions of this warranty.

    Jurisdiction:

    All disputes arising out of or in connection with this warranty policy shall be finally settled under the Rules & Laws of India and the place of settlement will be Kolhapur, India. Jurisdiction of the Court shall be at Kolhapur Only.

  • Warranty Terms and Conditions for Quanta Batteries

    1. Quanta long life battery carries a warranty for a period of 12 months from the date of sale or 15 months from date of manufacturing, whichever is earlier for usage in 'Manufacturer specified applications' only. The warranty commences from the date of delivery to the original buyer.

    2. The warranty is limited to all defects arising from the use of faulty material or poor workmanship. Consequential liabilities will not be entertained.

    3. In the event of any complaint, the battery has to be returned to any nearest authorized service location and the rectified battery should also be collected from the same point. The battery should be serviced only by the authorized service channel partner.

    4. The right to determine whether a battery needs free replacement or rectifications rests with company and is binding under all circumstances.

    5. Defective battery arising out of free replacement will become property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given.

    6. In case of warranty replacement, warranty period for the replaced battery will still be considered from the date of sale or manufacturing of the first sold battery as defined in point No.1

    7. The warranty is valid only for the claim arising out of the "first end user sale” by the company or its authorized channel partner or the OEMs. This warranty will cease if the battery is transferred by way of sale or any other means to any other third party (ies)

    8. This warranty is void and will cease to exist when damages am caused due to

    • Faulty charging systems, improper handling, improper charging, servicing by unauthorized personnel, will fully abused, destruction by fire/natural calamity and/or theft/pilferage.
    • Any attempt noticed as indicative of tampering (including but not limited to physical scratch marks and/or deformities and/or damages etc.) with safety valves/protection cover.
    • Usage other than Specified Application.
    • Any evidence or proof of the battery not being in charged state throughout its life or conditions not conductive to fully charge the battery at any point of time.

    9. All claims arising within the warranty period must be accompanied by this warranty card. All legal proceedings related to any dispute arising out of or in connection with this warranty, shall be subjected to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts at Tirupati only. Customers are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these conditions at the time of purchase.

  • Warranty Terms and Conditions for Exide Tubular Batteries

    1) Warranty for Exide Tubular EL+ Series is valid for 60 months from the date of supply.

    2) Batteries are recommended to be installed within 6 months from the date of manufacturing.In the event of delayed installation beyond 6 months, the batteries should be put onfreshening charges every 3 months before installation and beyond 12 months of delay thewarranty will be null and void

    3) In case the battery is replaced, the defective battery being replaced becomes the property of the company and no scrap rebate will be given for it. The warranty period on the replaced battery shall commence from the date of sale of the original battery bank as stated in the original warranty card. Warranty replacement will not alter warranty on the original sale.

    All liabilities under this warranty will cease in following cases: -

    A) If the battery is transferred to any party other than the original purchaser.

    B) If the battery is used for E-bike, inverter for domestic application, Home UPS, Offline UPS application.

    C) If the battery is out of warranty.

    D) If the defect is caused be improper handling, physical damage/abnormalities arising out :-

    a) Faulty Electrical Systems Like: -

    • Float Voltage not within 13.7 +/- 0.2V (based on ambient temperature correction)
    • Ripple current more than 5% of AH
    • Boost to Float and Float to boost changeover is not working properly in case of FCB Charger

    b) Improper installation Practices: - Loose Connection Improper fitment of bolt, nut and washers. Arrangement should be Bolt- plain washer- cable lug- terminal- plain washer- spring washer- nut.Inadequate ventilation like closed cabinet. If the room temperature exceeds 40 deg C. If there is any localised heating leading to temperature gradient in excess of 10 deg C across the battery bank. Improper earthing and Improper insulation. Improper connectors-wrong sizing, corroded cable lugs and poorly crimped connectors

    c) Faulty/Improper Charging System: - Insufficient recharging after every discharge by calculation of AH output during maximum power cut against maximum possible Ah Input from charging current and duration. Overcharging- Higher float voltage or higher ambient temperature or faulty boost to float changeover etc. Servicing by unauthorised dealer/electrician, destruction by fire/natural calamities/theft/pilferage.
